ASBESTOS SURVEY

Dacorum Borough Council

Green Shield Environmental have been working in partnership with Dacorum Borough Council since July 2020.

We provide DBC with a variety of Asbestos Surveys across their domestic property portfolio, these surveys include targeted Refurbishment Surveys, Management Surveys and Combined Management & Refurbishment Surveys.

The surveys we provide are required for a variety of different workstreams, from planned works i.e. Kitchen & Bathroom upgrade, roof replacement works, doors and window renewal, to the survey and fast turnaround of void properties. We also conduct bulk sampling and an emergency response service for any reactive repair situations that may arise.

We are responsible for all aspects of the planning, programming and booking of the survey works, with systems in place for sending initial letters to tenants informing them of our partnership with DBC and the requirement for a survey – through to contacting the tenants by telephone to answer any queries and book in the works.

We work to set KPI’s put in place by the council for the delivery of these works and provide them with access to our online asbestos portal which details all the asbestos information from our surveys on an easy to read electronic register. The portal also holds all the survey reports we have produced, which can be quickly accessed by the council and their contractors whenever needed 24/7. We also work closely with the councils contractors to ensure the smooth delivery of their works and programmes, whilst remaining fully compliant.

At regular set intervals we extract the information from our portal system and upload onto the council’s bespoke asset management system to ensure compliance is maintained throughout their management systems.
