ASBESTOS MANAGEMENT

Green Shield Environmental have been working with Rothamsted Research since 2015. Where we assist in all areas of their asbestos requirements ensuring compliance.

We have provided asbestos management surveys across their portfolio which consists of multiple buildings located over 5 large sites. These sites and buildings have a wide variety of different uses and encompass a large range of differing construction types. We are also conducting annual asbestos re-inspection surveys to the identified materials across the campus and all information from our surveys is stored on our online client portal which provides a live asbestos register that can be accessed 24/7 by the client. This portal also contains historical data and critical information for employees and contractors to the site.

Asbestos refurbishment and demolition surveys are also provided to facilitate ongoing site improvements, refits, maintenance works and upgrades to systems. These are planned working closely with the project management team to ensure that scope of works is fully understood and communicated to all relevant parties and to limit any disruption to the client when conducting the survey works. The information from these surveys are also uploaded onto the portal for easy management and visibility of our findings.

Following on from our survey works we have also assisted with advice on asbestos remedial works when necessary or following an onsite incident, an example being attending site following a leak in one of the buildings. We attended site to review this and safely removed and disposed of the asbestos containing floor tiles that had been damaged by this incident.

Our works were concluded with reassurance air testing being conducted before the area was safely handed back to the client.
